Wotan is the Germanic name for the god more commonly known as Odin in Norse mythology. Wotan (also spelled Wōdan, Wuotan, or Wōden) is the chief deity in ancient Germanic paganism and occupies a central role in mythology, esotericism, and later ideological reinterpretations.
